ExxonMobil to invest 300 million dollars and open 50 gas stations in Mexico

Mexico, Dec. 7 (Notimex).- In the first quarter of 2018, oil company ExxonMobil will seek to open at least 50 gas stations in Mexico thanks to Grupo Orsan in the Bajio zone, as part of a plan of investing 300 million dollars in logistics, inventory and commercialization for the next 10 years.

According to a Company statement, the new Mobil gas stations will be operated by Grupo Orsan, will be provided with gas and diesel from its refineries in Texas, distributed by train through two fuel terminals located in San Luis Potosi and San Jose Iturbide, Guanajuato.

 “This plan is part of the long-term commitment that ExxonMobil has of investing 300 million dollars in logistics, inventory and commercialization in Mexico for the next 10 years”, the company affirmed.

The general director of fuels at ExxonMobil Mexico, Carlos Rivas, pointed out that the opening of the first eight gas stations in Queretaro has been possible thanks to the new Mexican energy model, and is a milestone both for the country and the company.

 “We trust that we can satisfy the increasing demand of energy in the country guaranteeing a reliable supply of high-quality fuel and a unique experience for our customers”, he remarked.

For Orsan president and shareholder, Carlos Sandoval, this Alliance will promote its competitiveness in the open fuel market, thanks to the support of a global brand.

The fuels will be commercialized as Mobil Synergy Supreme+, Mobil Synergy Extra and Mobil Synergy Diesel.
